Work Package 3
WP Leader: BTH
The objective of WP3 is to identify and prioritise the new needs, provide good-practice solutions and roadmaps for enhancements in technologies and integration. Quality of the data and data protection requirements will be explored too.
Task 3.1: Prioritise requirements – Assess ICT offer/needs.
Task 3.1 will identify common ICT architectures and information models to support the management of smart grids with microgrids and demand-side integration. Specifically, proper definitions of relevant states covering different kinds of operations (normal, critical and emergency) will be addressed. Proper evaluation criteria of ICT solutions will be identified.
THE DELIVERABLE D3-2 OF TASK 3.1 IS NOW AVAILABLE!
Task 3.2: Identify tech and non-tech barriers; Identify solutions to barriers.
Task 3.2 will investigare different models for intelligent automatic support (self-healing) and smart operator support (including predictions and explanations). In particular, efforts will be made to discover patterns of emergent critical states related to security. Models of monitoring “behind the meter” supporting novel business models will be explored.
Task 3.3: Identify and categorise policy actions; rank ICT vs. solutions and policy actions.
Task 3.3 will develop and assess specific engineering ICT solutions with focus on monitoring. This includes the configuration of ICT solutions based on mechanisms for communication, coordination, recollection, and automation meeting systemic properties such as performance, resilience and security, besides supporting monitoring functions as described in Task 3.1.
Task 3.4: Share and prioritise policy actions and produce recommendations.
Task 3.4 will analyse experimental validations of ICT solutions identified in Task 3.3. A list of recommendations will be produced according to the test results based on the criteria defined in Task 3.1.
